JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a social worker for the economic group within Individual and Family Care.

Your task as a social worker in the economic group is to support applicants for assistance on their way to self-sufficiency. This is done through conversations, labor market measures, social interventions, and collaboration with involved parties both internally and externally.

The work also involves independently investigating, assessing, and deciding on applications for financial support and economic assistance. Support in the work is provided by the unit manager, senior social worker, and colleagues.

The economic group has been working on development and improvements for some time. The goal of the development work is to offer more comprehensive individual support for self-sufficiency and to conduct legally secure and efficient processing. We focus on freeing up time by improving the investigation work and implementing digital solutions to reduce administrative tasks. This allows you as a social worker to use your working hours for social change work that makes a difference. You are expected to be involved and contribute, and we value both previous work experience and knowledge from studies.

We offer a workplace where the focus is on social work and support for self-sufficiency, where you as a social worker have the opportunity to contribute to the improvement work ahead and where you can use your knowledge and experience for client-related work.

You will have the opportunity to work together with your colleagues in the economic group, other units within Individual and Family Care, and collaboration partners to help more adults achieve self-sufficiency and an independent life, and to reduce the number of children growing up in economic vulnerability.

QUALIFICATIONS

You who are applying have a degree in social work or another relevant post-secondary education with a focus on behavioral science, pedagogy, or social work that the employer deems equivalent.

We would like you to have experience working with our target group, either with financial assistance or other social work. It is also advantageous if you have studied social law. A driver's license and current and updated knowledge of financial support are desirable.

You are stable and secure in yourself, handle stress constructively, and maintain a good mood under pressure and adversity. You keep a realistic perspective on situations and focus on the right things.

You think outside the box and find new solutions to both old and new problems. You often come up with ideas and new approaches to work-related issues and have innovative thinking that can be put into practice and leads to results.

You have the resources needed for change or problem-solving. You do your best by doing what you can right now. You quickly find solutions to emerging problems.
