We work within the child services at the social office, where we promote healthy family relationships. Our main task is to provide support and treatment to children, youth, and their families. We work extensively with parental support in various ways. All assignments are assigned to us by caseworkers in the authority part of the social office.

There are team leaders responsible for support and guidance in daily work in close collaboration with the unit manager. As a new employee, you will receive an introduction including professional development and, if necessary, basic training in the methods used by the team.

Your tasks

The work takes place at families' homes and in our facilities centrally located in Norrköping. You will often work in pairs, but there may also be situations where you work more individually with your cases.

Treatment and conversations are conducted with both parents and children aged 0-12 years, where you adapt your communication wisely and pedagogically depending on who you are talking to.

Our work is carried out in accordance with the caseworkers' decisions, where you start from the family's specific needs and design the intervention based on what is needed. Collaboration with other actors around the child is an important part, where we collaborate with preschools, schools, or child psychiatric services. The role also includes follow-ups and administration where you continuously document in the relevant system.

As a new employee, you will receive an introduction and the opportunity to follow colleagues' work at the beginning to familiarize yourself with the job. You will have a mentor and close support from the team leader in working with families.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who is a qualified social worker, behavioral scientist, or has another university degree that the employer assesses as equivalent related to the position.

You have broad experience in conversing with people, especially children. You enjoy making contacts within schools or healthcare. You have experience in social work with families and knowledge of child development. If you also have prior knowledge of parental support programs, attachment, and neglect, we see it as a positive.

For this position, you will work in a team where collaboration is a central part. You are calm, stable, and have a positive attitude. You find it easy to make contact, have the ability to inspire trust, adapt to changing circumstances, and can be direct and clear in both communication and documentation.

You feel a strong responsibility for your task and your role at the social office. You are secure and have self-awareness. You see relationships in their proper perspective, distinguish between personal and professional, and behave in a way that is adapted to the situation. You see and seize opportunities for change and contribute to a positive work environment.

A driving license for manual transmission is a requirement. You are accustomed to expressing yourself in Swedish in both speech and writing.
