Development-oriented Social Worker Wanted

Are you a development-oriented social worker who wants to make a difference with us? Do you want to be part of a team where collaboration, community, and flexibility are fundamental to our professional practice? Then we are the right workplace for you!

Who are we?

The Social Office in Norrköping Municipality works to focus on the needs of individuals and always puts children's best interests first. We strive to make it easy to get help, and our support and treatment efforts maintain high quality and are based on legally secure assessments.

We want to find solutions close to the individual and contribute to a positive change for them. Together, we want to create security and good social services for those of us living in Norrköping.

The authority exercise is part of the Social Office. We make decisions according to the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons (LSS).

We continue to grow and are now looking for several committed LSS caseworkers who want to be part of both the child and youth unit and the adult operations.

The child and youth unit consists of a workgroup with a total of 32 employees. In the role of LSS caseworker, you will be part of a smaller group of eight people, seven LSS caseworkers, and one senior social worker.

The adult operations consist of 20 LSS caseworkers and two senior LSS caseworkers, as well as three coordinators who coordinate service resources.

Your Responsibilities

As an LSS caseworker, you will make decisions about interventions for people with various disabilities based on the LSS and SoL laws.

You will assess needs, make decisions, and regularly follow up on the decisions you have made. A large part of the work involves collaboration with both internal and external partners.

We have many improvement projects underway, and you are an important part of developing processes, routines, and collaboration. You will participate in network meetings based on the broad target group you work with.

There is an opportunity for remote work based on operational needs in consultation with the workgroup.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work and theoretical knowledge of legislation and authority exercise.

We view it positively if you have experience in authority exercise according to LSS or SoL. You are accustomed to handling various systems and documenting your work.

You are attentive and adapt your communication style to the individual and target group you meet, ensuring that they understand your information and message. You see collaboration with both internal and external partners as a natural part of your work.

You see opportunities in changes and can easily adapt and prioritize your work based on new circumstances. You have the ability to reflect and weigh complex information to make informed decisions based on this.

As a person, you are calm and stable in stressful situations, taking responsibility for your work, organizing, and prioritizing based on needs.

For this position, we expect you to have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. A driver's license for manual transmission is also a requirement.
