About the role

Advenica's products for National Security often include proprietary components for FPGA, electronics, mechanics, and software. We are now looking for an experienced embedded developer who wants to strengthen the team's technical capabilities in working with one of our established network products in top-level cybersecurity. The product is mature and technically complex – with many years of development and fine-tuning behind it – and plays a central role in our security solutions.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute with deep technical understanding of an advanced codebase and become an important part of a cross-functional team working on everything from toolchain and development to verification and documentation.

The work combines practical development work with architectural thinking and mentorship for more junior colleagues. You contribute both experience and structure, ensuring that the software maintains high quality over time.

About you

You have good programming skills and several years of experience in embedded systems development. You thrive in the role of both problem solver and knowledge bearer. You enjoy understanding how systems are interconnected and see the value in maintaining, improving, and further developing existing solutions rather than building new ones from scratch.

As a person, you are a responsive team player who enjoys sharing your knowledge and helping others grow. You appreciate an environment with short decision-making paths, an unpretentious culture, and a high technical level.

Requirements:

• Solid experience in development and troubleshooting in Linux-based embedded environments
• Very good knowledge of C and C++
• You enjoy contributing to architecture, technical choices, and code quality, and supporting and coaching less experienced colleagues

Meritorious:

• Python
• Shell scripting
• Experience in developing and troubleshooting IP-based network protocols
• Work in agile development projects

Security classification

Due to our operations, the position is security classified. This means you need to be a Swedish citizen and that a security clearance will be conducted before employment.
