About the assignment

An innovative company in energy storage is now seeking an experienced interim Business Controller who wants to support the business during an intensive growth journey. The company is in an industrialization phase and needs a consultant who can quickly create financial structure and support both strategic and operational decisions.

Your future tasks 

As an interim Business Controller, you will have a central role with close collaboration with R&D, operations, strategy, and commercial teams. You are expected to be self-driven and contribute with clarity, analysis, and reporting.

Examples of tasks:

• Prepare budgets, forecasts, and follow up on costs
• Identify deviations and suggest actions
• Deliver financial reports to management and external stakeholders
• Perform cash flow analyses and scenario analyses
• Support investment calculations and business decisions
• Contribute to the development of ERP systems and reporting structures
• Conduct year-end closing work and prepare audits
• Work closely with external accounting partners

We are looking for someone who has

• 4–6 years of experience in business controlling, finance, or accounting
• Experience in project controlling and cost monitoring
• Relevant higher education in finance, accounting, or similar

We consider it an advantage

• Previous experience from manufacturing industry or technology development companies
• Experience from Big-4 or growth companies is highly meritorious

You are analytical, structured, and used to working in a fast-changing environment. You enjoy creating order in complex contexts and are comfortable taking ownership of your responsibilities. You communicate clearly and enjoy collaborating with technical teams.
