ABOUT THE POSITION

PeptiSystems is a Swedish dynamic start-up at the forefront of innovation, transforming peptide and oligonucleotide therapeutic production. They specialize in delivering the next generation of synthesizers designed for process development and large-scale GMP, powered by advanced flow-through column technology.

As a Senior Software Engineer at PeptiSystems, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and deploying robust software applications. You will work within an agile team, contributing to the full software development lifecycle and ensuring the delivery of high-performance and scalable solutions. In this role, you will do more than write code; you’ll partner closely with product managers, designers, and domain experts to co-create valuable solutions for our customers in life sciences and manufacturing.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Work tasks

This role involves hands-on software development, from conceptualization to deployment, with a focus on building efficient, scalable, and maintainable systems that directly impact PeptiSystems business objectives.

Design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality software for both lab instrumentation and manufacturing systems, including hardware interfacing and PLC integration
Mentor and support fellow engineers, contributing to a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement
Continuously improve our agile practices, not just following process but shaping it to maximize team flow and product impact
Facilitate knowledge sharing across engineering, product, customer support, and service teams to ensure alignment and resilience

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO

Has a master’s degree in a software-related field or equivalent professional experience
Has 7+ years of hands-on software development experience, with a strong background in Windows applications
Has expertise in C#, WPF, and .NET
Is proficient with common development tools like Visual Studio, AzureDevOps, and Git. Experience with MSTest is a plus
Has a solid understanding of database management and communication protocols such as COM and TCP/IP
Has experience with version control systems like Git
Can work effectively in a team environment

It is meritorious if you have

Previous experience in PostgreSQL and PLC programming
Previous experience in Life Sciences. We are specifically looking for someone with a background in software for laboratory equipment and an understanding of related regulatory requirements like 21 CFR part 11.
Good knowledge in Swedish (written and spoken)
