Job Responsibilities

As a preparing lawyer, you will work closely with the administrative prosecutor, the administrative director, and the chief judge. An important task in the position is to handle questions regarding the disclosure of public documents.

Among the tasks as a preparing lawyer, you will also:

  • be primarily responsible for the administrative department's email inbox and respond to inquiries from the public,
  • participate in various working groups and projects to develop the court's operations,
  • process cases related to lay judge issues,
  • receive study visits from school classes,
  • teach clerks, and
  • conduct legal investigations, assist in drafting opinions to other authorities, and present minor referrals as needed.

The job responsibilities may also include participating in the adjudicative activities as needed for the operation.

Qualifications

You who apply should have very good legal skills. Upon taking up the position of preparing lawyer, you must have completed and approved clerk service at a general court or administrative court with good judgment.

As a person, you are service-oriented, self-driven, meticulous, and structured. You find it easy to understand legal issues and can handle large amounts of information. You also have a very good ability to collaborate and communicate both in writing and verbally with the public, colleagues, and external actors. You have a desire to participate in the court's development work.

Great emphasis will be placed on your personal qualities. Therefore, we apply competency-based recruitment and may use tests as part of the selection process. About Södertörn District Court

Södertörn District Court is one of the largest district courts in the country with around 250 employees. Our jurisdiction includes the municipalities of Botkyrka, Haninge, Huddinge, and Nynäshamn as well as Söderort within Stockholm Municipality. We work in modern premises in Flemingsberg, Huddinge, near the commuter train station.
