Stockholm – our capital city with millions of dreams

Stockholm – our capital city with millions of dreams, expectations, and ambitions. We work for everyone living here today and in the future. Now we are looking for you who want to think big, new, and differently with us – for the people of Stockholm.

Welcome to us

Askebyskolan is a F - 6 school with about 330 students including adapted primary school (about 30 students), a local special education group F-3, and about 70 staff.

The school is located in Rinkeby and has suitable facilities about 5 minutes from the subway. The school is in a development phase where the focus is on a language-developing approach, leadership, and stimulation as well as aesthetic learning processes. Our shared holistic idea is aesthetic learning processes, and we have a strong belief in the importance of aesthetics for deep knowledge and whole individuals - the student's access to all languages and forms of expression.

Askebyskolan's after-school program actively participates in the school's language-developing approach to promote students' learning. The after-school program has developed a good collaboration with civil society where many activities take place in the afternoon.

One of the school's focus areas is aesthetic learning processes, and we have a close collaboration with the Stockholm Culture School where drama and rhythm educators contribute to our students receiving deepened learning and contact.
