For over 20 years, Gryning has offered HVB and open care for children, adolescents, and families, emergency and foster homes, addiction care, supported apartments, interventions against honor-related violence and oppression, as well as LSS housing. We provide counseling and training and assist with placements. Gryning is owned by the municipalities in Västra Götaland through the four municipal associations.

Unit Honor & Protection

The Honor & Protection unit offers, on behalf of social services, to investigate and assess protection needs and provide protection and care to individuals who require placement due to an external threat. Our primary target group is adolescents aged 14-18 who are exposed to or at risk of honor-related violence and oppression. These adolescents are placed in our protected HVB. We also have the capacity to provide protection for adults in our apartments throughout Skaraborg, where the reasons for the protection needs can vary, ranging from honor to domestic violence or connections to gang crime or other types of crime.

We are now looking for a new employee

We are now looking for a new employee for a permanent position at our protected HVB. You will be one of 4 treatment pedagogues working shifts with sleeping on-call duty at the residence. You will always work together with another colleague to support our protected adolescents during the evenings and nights. The position is 50%. The working hours are mainly scheduled between 7:30 PM and 8:30 AM with sleeping on-call duty between midnight and 8 AM. You will work on a two-week schedule with two shifts every other week and 5 shifts every other week.

The position often works well in combination with studies or another part-time job. Thanks to additional compensation, the position offers a competitive salary that can make it possible to manage without additional work.

JOB DESCRIPTION

What does the position entail?

We work based on a milieu therapeutic approach. As a treatment pedagogue on sleeping on-call duty, your tasks include care and supervision of the adolescents. During the evenings and nights, the focus is on maintaining safety, calm, and security. As a treatment pedagogue on sleeping on-call duty, you need to document in our documentation system. Acute situations may arise that you need to handle, such as deviations, medical visits, and a risk assessment needs to be made based on the protection of the adolescent. You should be a reliable adult who can be available at night if the adolescent is anxious or upset.

QUALIFICATIONS

Who are you?

We are looking for someone with at least a two-year post-secondary education, or an equivalent education, focused on social work, social pedagogy, or behavioral science.

If you have experience working in HVB homes, it is an advantage. We expect you to be interested in other cultures, honor, and protection. We seek someone who is secure and stable and has the ability to create calm and safety. You are responsible, have personal maturity, and good self-awareness. As the job may involve travel, a B driver's license is required.
