Do you want an administrative job where you make a concrete difference for children, youth, and families – without being a social worker yourself?

The Child and Family Unit consists of 25 employees who work with children and young people aged 0-21 years and their parents. The unit is led by a unit manager with the support of two team leaders and is divided into reception group, investigation group, placement group, and foster care group.

The unit also includes an administrator who is an important support in the administrative work. Our current administrator is moving on to new challenges after nine years with us, and now we are looking for you to take over the baton.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role, you will be a central administrative support to our social workers and other employees. Through your work, you enable social workers to spend more time in meetings and contact with children, youth, and parents.

Your tasks will largely resemble those typically referred to as social administrator and include, among other things, that you:

  • Support social workers with administration in cases, such as updating reports, retrieving previous knowledge, and inviting citizens to meetings.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as requesting various documents, handling and making calculations based on financial data, and some record-keeping.
  • Be responsible for requesting and communicating documents to internal and external partners as well as to citizens.
  • Be a super user in our operational system LifeCare and support social workers in registering decisions and other tasks in the system.
  • Maintain and update the unit's documents such as routines and templates.
  • Handle personal files, schedule appointments and meetings, call for SIP meetings, and document these meetings.
  • Ensure that the mail, calendar, phone, and email of absent employees are monitored as needed.
  • Perform other administrative tasks based on the needs that arise in the operation.

You will be a key person in creating structure, quality, and legal handling in our cases.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a post-secondary education in administration or another education that the employer deems relevant.
  • Has experience in administrative work, preferably within social services, other municipal operations, or similar government functions.
  • Has knowledge of the Social Services Act and other relevant legislation.
  • Communicates well in Swedish both verbally and in writing.
  • Is comfortable working digitally and is used to navigating different systems. It is an advantage if you have experience with the operational system LifeCare.
