Investigator for the Planning Unit at IVO

Do you want to make a difference and contribute to safer care and social services? The Health and Social Care Inspectorate (IVO) is growing and conducting extensive and strategic work to develop state supervision and licensing. We are now looking for an investigator for the Planning Unit.

About the job

As one of several investigators in the Planning Unit, you will primarily be responsible for designing and writing reports based on national supervision efforts and government assignments. IVO's mission is expanding and includes both supervision and licensing, as well as combating welfare crime. Depending on the task, you will switch between roles as coordinator, project leader, or writer. You will also contribute support to the agency's overall governance and management for both ongoing work and more strategic issues. The work is development-oriented with many internal contact points, where you will be involved in several projects simultaneously. Collaboration, a holistic perspective, and innovation characterize the work at the unit.

Your main tasks will include:

  • Writing and communicating reports and other materials
  • Project leading or coordinating government assignments and larger publications
  • Developing, compiling, and analyzing materials to support prioritization and follow-up
  • Contributing to the development and establishment of new working methods in various parts of the organization

The position is a permanent employment with a six-month probationary period, located in Stockholm. Travel may occur in the role.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

  • A university degree in a relevant field
  • Current and relevant work experience in public administration or equivalent
  • Experience in report writing in investigative work
  • Excellent communication skills in both spoken and written Swedish

To succeed in this role, you need to be an experienced writer with the ability to produce, analyze, and structure various types of materials. You can reconcile different perspectives into a whole and translate a long-term direction into operational work. You are adaptive, self-driven, and relationship-building, with an unpretentious collaborative style and strong drive. You enjoy working both independently and developing together with others.

We consider it an advantage if you also have:

  • Experience working in a politically governed organization or equivalent

Workplace Description

The department is responsible for the agency's press service, editorial work, strategic communication efforts, and coordination and support to the agency regarding planning, preparation, and quality assurance of reports.

The Planning Unit works with IVO's management and organization on overall planning, coordination, and follow-up of agency-wide assignments and particularly government assignments. The unit also coordinates work with internal governance and control, as well as agency-wide publications and leads certain projects.

IVO contributes to safe care and social services. The mission of the Health and Social Care Inspectorate (IVO) is to contribute to care and social services that are safe, of good quality, and conducted in accordance with laws and other regulations through supervision and licensing.

The agency is characterized by a strong commitment as well as a broad and deep knowledge and understanding of health care and social services in Sweden. We exist for the care and social service recipients.

The agency has about 800 employees. The supervision work is conducted at six regional departments across the country. The departments for licensing, analysis, planning, communication, and operational support are located in Stockholm, as is the director general's staff.
