We are now looking for you who want to work as a preschool teacher at Sergel preschools.

The unit consists of seven preschools: Klara, Sture, Tule, Svea, Vega, Sirius, and Kejsarkronan, which together form Sergel preschools. All preschools are located in central Stockholm in Norrmalm. We are now looking for you who want to work as a preschool teacher at our preschools.

In our unit, we work based on an exploratory approach inspired by Reggio Emilia's educational philosophy. The Reggio Emilia philosophy represents an educational approach that is based on a strong belief in human potential, a deep respect for the child, and a conviction that all children have a strong inherent drive to explore the world. Right now, we have a focus area on "Play" at our preschools, where we work with the significance of play in education. Therefore, we are looking for you who want to be a co-playing educator.

Your role

As a preschool teacher, you are an important part of the team that ensures that everyday life at the preschool runs smoothly and that care and daily educational work are based on the children's participation. In this role as a preschool teacher, you will be part of one or more teams at our preschools. Together with other colleagues at the preschool, you contribute to creating a positive, meaningful, and developing environment for each child and for the entire group of children. You are active in your relationship with the children and in their play. We work both outdoors and indoors throughout the year.

You will participate in the pedagogical development work and carry out pedagogical documentation daily. You are engaged and actively participate in planning and evaluating the work. In meetings with guardians, you have good communication and act professionally and service-oriented. As a preschool teacher with us, you act in accordance with the curriculum, set goals, policies, and guidelines.

Your experience, education, and competence

You need to have:

• Preschool teacher education
• Experience working with pedagogical documentation

It is advantageous if you have:

• experience with Reggio Emilia-inspired working methods.
• experience working with digital tools together with children
• experience working with children with disabilities

As a person, you are engaged, flexible, and self-driven. You have a clear child focus and an interest in contributing to children's development and learning. We are looking for you who have a positive attitude in your work and towards your team, where good collaboration is fundamental. You also have a good ability to collaborate with colleagues, children, and guardians in a responsive and professional manner. We work with continuous improvements, and we are looking for you who are development-oriented by being proactive, driving, and innovative in the development work.

Other

To work in our preschools, you must present an extract from the Police's criminal record. You order the extract yourself, and it is valid for one year.

The employment is a three-month assignment with the possibility of extension. We would like a start on 8/1-26.
