Näsbypark School is currently seeking an engaged special education teacher with experience and competence in grades 4-9.

About the job

The principal area of Näsbypark School is now looking for an experienced and committed special education teacher for primary school – preferably with specific competence in working with grades 4–9. You will be an important part of the school's student health and the special education team.

The principal area consists of three schools: Norsskolan (grades F–3), Slottsparksskolan (grades F–3), and Näsbypark School (grades 4–9). A new school unit will also open within the principal area in January 2026 - Näsbypark Resource School. Your placement will be at Näsbypark School, where you will work closely with school management, student health, teachers, and other support resources.

Who are you?

You will be part of an engaged special education team and have an active role in the school's student health team. To succeed in your work as a special education teacher with us, we believe that you:

  • are a qualified teacher for primary school, preferably grades 4-9
  • are well acquainted with governing documents related to teaching and the special education mission within the school
  • have several years of experience working as a special education teacher in primary school, preferably in middle and high school.
  • are confident in your professional role and have a good ability and willingness to switch between work at the individual, group, and organizational levels.
  • have experience leading small group instruction, working individually with students, and mentoring colleagues on issues related to problematic behaviors, school difficulties, and didactic and pedagogical methods for successful teaching.
  • are a skilled communicator who builds good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues.
  • have good analytical skills to identify causes of challenges and suggest interventions at different levels, also being involved in the implementation of interventions when needed.
  • actively contribute to the school's development work and the cross-professional collaboration within student health.
  • have an understanding of and experience working in a politically governed organization with its demands for documentation, structure, and collaboration.

As a person, you are structured, well-planned, and inspiring. You are collaborative and interested in contributing to the professional development of the organization. You have the ability to plan and organize both your own work and the work of others effectively and create a trusting climate by both listening and sharing your experiences. It is advantageous if you are relationally inclined and easily build good relationships with students, staff, and guardians.

We welcome applicants who have worked as teachers for a few years, but newly graduated teachers are also encouraged to apply.
