Your Mission

We offer a fixed-term employment of 80% with teaching in the subjects of Swedish as a second language and SO. We know that it can be difficult to find candidates with qualifications and/or experience in both subjects, therefore there is the possibility to split the position between two candidates with approximately 40% SVA and approximately 40% SO. Having qualifications and/or experience in both subjects is of course an advantage.

You will teach grades 7-9 in both subjects and the position also includes mentorship in grade 7. You will belong to the middle school working group and participate in working group meetings and collegial pedagogical meetings.

Your Profile

Primarily, we are looking for someone who is a licensed teacher and qualified in Swedish as a second language and SO subjects. Qualifications in Social Studies and/or Religious Studies are extra merits. You should have experience teaching in middle school.

As a teacher at Vittra, you help shape conscious children and students by providing them with the right tools and knowledge to create a more sustainable society. To do this, you need to have the right personal qualities:

We have up to 500 children and students, who together with 70 adults must cooperate daily in many different contexts. This means that various types of situations arise in classrooms and corridors. You need to be comfortable with that and, above all, be able to handle it with calm and wisdom.
• You are skilled in teaching, or on your way to becoming so. It doesn't matter if you are already an experienced teacher in the classroom or a future star. What matters is that you have drive, curiosity, and a desire to constantly develop in your role. You have an interest and engagement in your teaching that inspires and motivates students to want to learn.
