At Academic Resource, we are currently looking for a meticulous and dedicated Accounting Economist for upcoming assignments with our clients. The role involves working independently with ongoing accounting and being an important part of the finance function. The assignments vary in length and scope depending on the client's needs, giving you the opportunity to broaden your experience and develop in your professional role.

Responsibilities

As an accounting economist, your tasks may include:

• Ongoing bookkeeping and reconciliations
• Accounts payable and receivable
• Monthly, quarterly, and annual closings
• Reporting and analysis
• VAT and tax declarations
• Preparation of annual reports
• Contact with authorities, auditors, and other external parties
• Support the finance team with ad hoc tasks

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, we prefer that you have:

• Post-secondary education in finance or equivalent
• Several years of experience in accounting work
• Good knowledge of accounting and business systems
• Strong skills in Excel
• Experience with financial closing is an advantage
• Good communication skills in Swedish and English
• Attention to detail, sense of responsibility, and ability to work independently
