We are looking for an experienced controller for the Welfare Sector!

As a controller within Lidköping Municipality, you belong to the finance department, which is part of the municipal management office and is part of a team of about 20 employees.

The department's mission is to serve as a resource for both the municipality's sectors and municipal companies. You will be welcomed into a department with broad experience and where a lot is happening. As a controller, you work at the heart of democracy, supporting operations, group management, and politics.

About the job

In total, we are nine controllers working with the municipality's various sectors. The finance department is a centralized function, and you will work closely with the entire finance unit as well as with the sectors and sector managers. In this role, you will work with the welfare sector alongside another controller.

Job responsibilities

In your role as a controller, you will work with budgeting, forecasting, follow-up, year-end closing, calculations, and also with operational analysis. As a senior controller, we see that the position will focus more on operational analysis and developing working methods and processes. Depending on your skills and interests, you will also work with some overarching issues within the financial area.

Who are you?

You have a degree in economics at the university level, and experience in public operations, preferably within the welfare sector, is meritorious. As a person, you are forward-looking, ambitious, and have your own drive to improve what you work with. You have a very good analytical ability and are a natural problem solver. Additionally, you appreciate a changing everyday life, have a structured way of working, and can quickly prioritize when needed. You are skilled in your communication and have a desire to develop working methods and processes in close collaboration with others. We would like you to have five years of experience as a controller/administrative economist or equivalent, and be someone who appreciates collaboration between different functions.
