We are now looking for a qualified science teacher with a focus on physics and technology for grades 7–9, starting January 2026.

About the position

As a teacher of Physics and Technology at IES Kista, you will:

• Teach Physics and Technology in grades 4–9 according to the Swedish curriculum (Lgr22)
• Have solid subject knowledge and a commitment to making science and technology understandable and inspiring for students
• Be a clear leader in the classroom and create a calm and safe learning environment
• Plan, implement, and assess structured and engaging lessons, including laboratory work, practical activities, and projects
• Adapt teaching to meet the diverse needs and conditions of students
• Work closely with colleagues in the science team and contribute to collaboration across subject boundaries
• Contribute to the school's positive and international atmosphere

As a mentor for 16 students, you will support them in reaching their full potential, regardless of background.

Qualifications

• Teacher education and qualification in Physics and/or Technology for grades 7–9 (Swedish teacher certification)
• Good knowledge of both Swedish and English
• Experience in an international or bilingual environment is an advantage
• A structured, professional, and caring approach to work
