Construction Manager - Road Responsibilities

As a construction manager, you are a vital cog in our projects. You support the project management with your experience and expertise in buildability and production technology. The role spans all phases of the project, from planning and design to implementation and completion. The work is done in teams, and collaboration is a central part of the work with both internal colleagues and external parties. Being both results-oriented and relationship-oriented is a prerequisite for success in this role.

Responsibilities include, among others:

• Support projects with production technical expertise in various phases of the projects
• Participate in design and preparation of tender documents
• Contribute to the review of construction documents and documentation
• Assist in responding to notifications and changes, including valuation and cost assessment
• Participate in calculations and financial follow-up
• Follow up on contractors' progress, self-checks, diaries, and documentation
• Contribute with feedback and improvement suggestions for future procurements
• If necessary, manage smaller projects or parts of a project

We are looking for someone who

• has a post-secondary education with a focus on construction technology or has other education and experience that we assess as equivalent
• has several years of relevant practical experience in the field as a construction manager, site supervisor, or site/foreman alternatively equivalent role in construction, road, or railway projects
• has current knowledge of AB/ABT, AMA, and technical descriptions within construction, road, or railway projects
• has current experience in construction work environment, quality, and safety within construction, road, or railway projects
• has experience in various stages of construction projects from design to handover
• has a valid driver's license for passenger cars
• has good knowledge of Swedish both spoken and written

It is meritorious if you

• have experience working with an operations and maintenance organization
• have measurement technical competence and experience in quality assurance of measurement technical work in construction and civil engineering projects
• have competence in steel and concrete structures and a good understanding of construction methods, material properties, and quality requirements in the field
