Your role

The Operations Support department enables a safe, efficient, and large-scale mining operation by developing and managing the infrastructure, environments, and services that make the industrial area safe, functional, and attractive for employees and visitors. Our mission includes:

Safety always comes first, with a clear focus on quality, delivery, and productivity in ongoing work. The role entails overall responsibility for the department's approximately 130 employees and areas such as properties, industrial area, waste and environment, transport, security, and traffic.

Together with managers and employees, the operations are further developed with a strong customer focus, good collaboration, and a proactive approach. The function is a natural part of the management teams for both the Kiruna area and the Operations Support department, and is also represented in steering groups related to environment, production, and development programs.

The position is based in Kiruna.

You are a confident, engaged, and present leader with a good understanding of industrial processes and operational organizations. In your leadership, LKAB's leadership criteria are a natural starting point.

With experience from the base industry or other complex operations, you are driven to create stable, safe, and efficient foundational conditions that make a real difference for the entire organization. A genuine interest in technology, development, and improvement work means you thrive in an environment where results are created together with others.

With an analytical and structured working method, combined with business focus and a strong sense of responsibility, you drive work forward even in change and high tempo. Your attentiveness and communication skills enable you to build stable collaborations, clear direction, and a shared focus – both within the department and in the broad collaboration the role requires.

We see that you have:

• A university degree in a relevant field
• Several years of experience in a leadership position, preferably in an industrial context
• Good knowledge of both Swedish and English, spoken and written
• A valid driver's license (a requirement for all positions at LKAB)
