Job Description

Within the Education Office's department for Central School Support, there are units such as the Resource Unit, Adapted School, the Unit for Mother Tongue and Newly Arrived Students, and the Unit for Administration and Investigation.

The Unit for Administration and Investigation is led by the department head for Central School Support and consists of ten people who investigate, ensure, and manage the principal's systematic quality work together with department heads and principals. The unit works with system management, local coordination, and administrative tasks. Central School Support is now seeking a case officer interested in working with digital tools and systems. In your role, you will be a support function for preschool and school.

As a case officer, you will handle various questions and tasks within the Education Office's principal assignment to provide the operational support needed. The role includes ensuring and being responsible for various digital tools and systems for the municipality's preschools and schools. The assignment also includes being part of the work to ensure that the municipality has appropriate and effective tools for investigation, analysis, planning, and follow-up. You will also produce statistics and support department heads and principals in preparing materials for surveys and follow-ups, for example. Furthermore, you will have close cooperation with others within the Education Office and continuous dialogue with the department head regarding issues and systematic quality work. Upplands-Bro is a small municipality where employees handle various issues across several different areas concerning preschool and school.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a relevant university degree in pedagogy or another education deemed equivalent by the employer.
• Has knowledge of the operational area of preschools and schools.
• Has previously worked with qualified administrative tasks.
• Has knowledge of current legislation and regulations concerning municipal operations.
• Has excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and the ability to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish.
• Has very good IT skills. Good knowledge of the Office suite and the ability to quickly adapt to new systems and programs. Knowledge of various learning tools.
• Knowledge of Prorenata, LegiLexi, Magma, and other learning tools is an advantage.
• Experience from municipal operations or other politically governed activities is an advantage.

As a case officer, you take great responsibility for your tasks, you are a flexible person with excellent collaboration skills and can handle many issues simultaneously. You have a good ability to create structure, plan, ensure, and follow up on your work. You have an analytical and strategic ability that allows you to overview, prioritize, and quickly familiarize yourself with new areas. You see the big picture and appreciate collaborating across organizational boundaries, you listen, communicate, are meticulous, can adapt to changing circumstances, and solve challenges in a constructive and professional manner. You are service-oriented, good at making contacts, and collaborating.

The position is a project employment for one year. Start date by agreement.
