About the role

Future People is now looking for a senior Business Controller for a qualified consulting assignment. You will be a targeted reinforcement to the existing Business Controller (BC) both in the line function for Asset Investments and in important business development projects.

This is an assignment for you who enjoy combining operational analysis work with strategic development of processes, tools, and governance models – and who wants to contribute to a socially important business in strong growth.

We are looking for someone who:

You will work closely with the existing BC who leads and distributes the work, but you will drive your own deliveries with high independence. The assignment includes:

• Delivering decision support and analyses of high quality
• Participating in planning, follow-up, and forecasting work within both line and project
• Identifying and driving improvements in processes, routines, and reporting structures
• Packaging information pedagogically for recipients at management and steering group levels
• Contributing to the long-term development of KPIs, decision pathways, and governance documents
• Strengthening the governance of the asset portfolio through methodology, structure, and clarity

The assignment places high demands on professionalism, collaboration skills, integrity, and a holistic view.

Must-have requirements

• Requirement 1: The consultant must have at least 10 years of documented work experience in qualified work as a Business Controller, Financial Controller, or equivalent analytical role in a complex organization (a complex organization refers to an organization with large asset and infrastructure projects with multiple internal and external stakeholders, with high demands on timelines and safety).
• Requirement 2: The consultant must have relevant higher education in economics or finance.
• Requirement 3: The consultant must have at least 2 years of experience in portfolio, program, or project management, including follow-up and reporting of investment or development portfolios.
• Requirement 4: The consultant must have knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint, as well as at least 2 years of experience in creating decision support and reports for management level.
