Key Customer Advisor at NG Nordics
As several employees at NG Nordics have taken the next step within the organization, the opportunity now arises for you who want to help drive the future of the circular industry.
As a Key Customer Advisor in NG Nordics Industrial Waste Services (IWS) business area, you will become an important link in the chain that transforms industrial waste into resources – a role for you who thrive on analyzing, structuring, and creating order in complex flows.
– “What makes this role so enjoyable is that you get to be where it really happens – where knowledge and service meet. You get to work with both customers, technology, and analyses and be a key person in ensuring that waste is handled correctly from the start,” says Eleonore Gibson, Customer Service Manager at NG Nordic Sweden.
About the Company
We are a leading Nordic provider of circular solutions and environmental services that address the urgent challenges of climate change and resource scarcity. By transforming waste into valuable resources and removing hazardous substances from the cycle, we avoid emissions and protect natural ecosystems. Through reuse, collection, recycling, and waste management, we increase the availability of circular raw materials and help reduce carbon dioxide emissions in society.
We collaborate with organizations of all sizes and offer tailored, innovative solutions throughout the value chain, providing added value at every step. We combine data with local knowledge, enabling our customers to develop their operations while caring for the environment. Today, we are an important part of the Nordic industrial infrastructure, and our goal is to become a true European leader.
Our dedicated team of experts focuses on safety and quality. By bringing together the best talents in the industry – from drivers and operators to engineers and leaders – we build a business with a global impact. We have 3,400 employees and 90 facilities in Norway, Sweden, Finland, and Denmark that handle 4.4 million tons of waste annually.
Where Analysis Meets Service
The customer service team at the Norrtorp site consists of 16 people who together handle everything from simple customer inquiries to more technically advanced cases. In the role of Key Customer Advisor, your main task is to provide qualified advice and top-notch service to meet customer expectations and inquiries in a timely and appropriate manner. In close collaboration with the sales organization, you build a close customer relationship. You primarily work with contractual customers with more complex material flows where it is crucial to stay updated on the customer's operations and conditions.
Based on the customer's material, you decide what treatment steps are required, what samples/analyses need to be conducted, and how the material should be handled safely. This often requires both an understanding of chemical properties and the ability to interpret analysis results. The role also includes, among other things:
- Customer responsibility and direct contact with contractual customers.
- Responsibility for case management throughout the process, from inquiry to invoice.
- Responsibility for billing and accounting.
- Responsibility for drafting/updating contracts and ensuring the business system is updated with correct prices and quotes.
- Responsibility for handling deviations and contributing to continuous improvement efforts by identifying shortcomings in processes and suggesting improvements.
- Ensuring that work instructions are kept updated.
– “We have an exciting mix in the team – some come from customer service, others have studied chemistry or worked in labs. What we have in common is that we enjoy solving problems and contributing to smooth flows, both for the customer and internally,” says Eleonore.
A Customer-Centric Role
As a Key Customer Advisor, you act as an advisor, coordinator, and quality assurer – and a central contact point for the customer, sales organization, and our planning department.
You have a strong ability to plan and prioritize your work, even when the pace and workload are high. You thrive in a dynamic environment where tasks do not always follow a fixed structure and are motivated by solving unforeseen problems accurately and efficiently. You plan and structure your work based on important dates and the needs of the business, making wise prioritizations accordingly. Taking responsibility for your work and driving issues independently comes naturally to you, as does identifying improvement potential in processes and working methods. Safety is our top priority, so you naturally have a high safety mindset in everything you do.
You are solution-oriented, flexible, and maintain a positive attitude even in pressured situations. In collaboration with colleagues, you are a reliable team player who contributes to a good work climate. You are responsive to the customer, have a high service level, and a professional demeanor. Through your engagement and ability to build good relationships, you create trust and contribute to satisfied customers and an efficient operation.
We are looking for someone who has:
- Education in chemistry or another relevant technical field.
- Experience in heavy system administration, customer service, or order management.
- Ability to interpret and understand analyses and technical data.
- Good experience working in digital systems and keeping order in complex information flows.
- Ability to drive processes independently and find solutions even when routines are not entirely clear.
- Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
Additionally, it is a plus if you have experience in chemical or waste management or experience from process industry or technically advanced support roles.
