Job Responsibilities

At Ward 3 of the Medical Clinic in Köping, you will work with a wide variety of internal medicine diseases, which allows you to gain broad expertise and learn a lot. As a nurse with us, you will work from a holistic perspective with the patient in focus and have a leading role in the care, treatment, and nursing of acutely ill patients.

You are part of a multidisciplinary team and have close collaboration with other professional groups such as nursing assistants, receptionists, discharge coordinators, doctors, social workers, and paramedical staff. Contact with relatives and other healthcare providers is also an important part of the work.

About the Workplace

Ward 3 is an acute internal medicine ward with 16-18 beds for patients with internal medicine diseases, primarily blood, gastrointestinal, kidney, and diabetes diseases, as well as infectious diseases. We are a team passionate about providing our patients with the best possible care and creating a work environment where safety and well-being are central. You will have a workplace where you feel welcome from day one, where your voice matters, and where person-centered care and interdisciplinary collaboration are a given to provide our patients with the best care and develop you as a nurse.

Currently, we have about 40 employees working together.

The Medical Clinic in Köping provides acute internal medicine care for western and northern Västmanland, with a catchment area of approximately 85,000 inhabitants. Within the Medical Clinic in Köping, all internal medicine diseases are investigated and treated, and each ward has profile areas where staff have in-depth knowledge in their field. Qualifications

We welcome both newly graduated and licensed nurses with experience. We value previous experience and knowledge of the Cosmic journal system. It is important that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language to ensure good care.

As a person, you are secure, stable, and self-aware. You have the ability to understand someone else's perspective or situation and treat others with humility and respect. You contribute to a good atmosphere in the workgroup and have good collaboration skills and communicate clearly. You take responsibility for your tasks, can easily adapt to changing circumstances, and can remain calm in acute situations.

Employment Conditions

Permanent employment, full-time. We offer night shifts as well as day/evening shifts, including weekend work.

The Medical Clinic in Köping has weekend work two weekends out of five, with the possibility to work every other weekend if desired. By late autumn, we will introduce individual schedule planning with the opportunity to plan the schedule based on the needs of the operation. This will be implemented as a pilot project until the summer of 2026.
