Specialist Nurse and Nursing Assistant Wanted at Strömsborg

We are looking for you who are a trained specialist nurse or have experience in psychiatry or dementia care and want to be part of our team, contributing your energy, knowledge, and experience.

Strömsborg is an establishment located in the center of Arboga. We currently have 42 residents distributed across six departments. Two of our departments focus on cognitive impairment.

Job Responsibilities

As a specialist nurse, you contribute your specialist competence to improvements and development efforts within the unit. You have a particular responsibility based on the needs of the organization to drive quality and improvement work to ensure a high standard of care throughout the organization. You work as support to your colleagues and management.

In addition to the responsibilities of a specialist nurse, the role also includes regular tasks performed by a nursing assistant in a care home.

As a specialist nurse, you have a special responsibility to contribute to the development of the organization while also having the opportunity to develop in the role by working in various areas of responsibility.

As a nursing assistant, we are looking for you who want to provide our residents with a meaningful, safe, and active everyday life.

We assist with all daily tasks such as personal hygiene including showering and intimate hygiene, going for walks, and managing medications. We also handle other household chores like cleaning and laundry.

We work in teams, and in your role as a nursing assistant, you have support from nurses, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists.

You have a personal responsibility to contribute to the development of the organization while also having the opportunity to grow by working in different areas of responsibility.

Our task is to provide our residents with a meaningful and safe everyday life.

Qualifications

You are a trained specialist nurse in dementia or psychiatry, or a nursing assistant with experience in psychiatry/dementia care.

It is important that you have a good ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing.

Experience in elderly care and dementia care is an advantage, and we place great importance on personal suitability.

You should have experience with IT aids such as computers and tablets.

You have a genuine interest in people and their health.

You are flexible and easy to collaborate with. You have a positive attitude, a sense of service, and a fundamental approach to working based on the individual needs of the residents.

Information about Protected Professional Title:

To be eligible for a permanent position, you need to show us proof of a protected professional title from the National Board of Health and Welfare. You can apply for this on their website, and we recommend that you apply for it now.

Conditions

Permanent employment, 75-100%. Working hours include days, evenings, and weekends.
