Furuboda Assistans is a private assistance provider in southern Sweden with roots in the non-profit Furuboda Association. The company was established in 2005 and is a growing business. About the assignment

I am now looking for an assistant who can work with me in a position of 25% with the possibility of extra work as needed. The working hours vary and are distributed over day, afternoon/evening, and, if needed, awake night shifts. I require assistance both on weekdays and weekends.

In this position, you will support and help me with everything concerning my day in consultation with me.

I am a man in my 40s who had a stroke when I was 22 years old. This has led to me being in a wheelchair today, lacking verbal communication, and having a significant need for care. I communicate using spelling. It is not a requirement that you have experience with this, but you need to have patience to understand my way of communicating.

The work involves everything from hygiene situations and transfers to managing a household and running errands. During certain times of the day, the work is performed with double staffing, so it is important that you can collaborate and have good communication with your colleagues. Helping me plan activities and fill my weeks with things that enrich my social life is also an important part of the job.

I would prefer that you have previous experience in personal assistance, that you are positive, and have a solution-focused mindset.

The job also involves helping me with medications and managing tube feeding. This is done according to instructions from an experienced assistant.
