Your Role with Us

Your tasks primarily consist of providing our clients with individual support and care, developing and maintaining abilities and communication considering their disabilities. You will support clients' participation in leisure and cultural activities, involvement at all levels: individual, group, and community level, as well as self-determination and personal integrity.

You will be a contact person and in this role, you are responsible for ensuring that the implementation plan is established and followed up. Furthermore, you will be responsible for social documentation according to applicable guidelines. If necessary, you will perform medical tasks delegated by a nurse or assist clients with self-care.

Who Are We Looking For?

We are looking for someone with a completed education from the child and leisure program with a focus on social work/pedagogical work or the health and care program with a vocational outcome in healthcare or psychiatry, or alternatively another education deemed equivalent by the employer. Experience working with people with psychiatric disabilities is required for the job. You need good knowledge of psychiatry, the ability to manage clients with challenging behavior, and knowledge/experience of working with low-arousal responses.

Since the job requires communication and documentation, we expect you to be computer literate and proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written. We also want you to have an interest in digital work tools. A B driver's license for manual transmission is a requirement.

We are looking for someone with a professional attitude and good collaboration skills. You are stress-resistant, flexible, and find solutions in everyday life. You have the ability to plan and structure your work from a holistic perspective, can make independent decisions while also respecting decisions made and can perform work on behalf of others. As a person, you are attentive to the client's needs. You can work both independently and collaboratively with colleagues.

About Us

SB Södra Kaserngatan is an LSS residence focused on social psychiatry. Staff work around the clock to support clients in their daily lives. The staff collaborates closely with nurses, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists. Our clients have a significant need for care and support in their daily lives. The goal is for clients to feel secure, involved, and to be met based on their conditions, wishes, and needs.

The operations of the Care Administration target the elderly and individuals who need functional support as well as those in need of home healthcare. The operations are functionally divided into four areas: support in ordinary housing, support in care and nursing homes, health and medical care, and functional support. The administration also includes the authority unit, national high school, and assistive technology center in Eastern Skåne.
