Furuboda Assistans is a private assistance provider in southern Sweden with roots in the non-profit Furuboda Association. The company was established in 2005 and is a growing business. About the assignment

We are now looking for an assistant who can work as a substitute in Hörby. The client is a man in his 40s who has been granted assistance around the clock, with double assistance for most of his waking hours.

The client is an active person who enjoys brisk walks and bike rides. During weekdays, he works on picking up litter in nature and trimming bushes in the village.

The client has autism and an intellectual disability and needs foresight and structure to feel his best. His interests include motocross, tractors, swimming, and being outdoors in the forest. Outdoor life is a great passion for him.

The client lives alone in his apartment, and as his assistant, you will also need to support him with household chores such as cleaning, laundry, and cooking. Most importantly, the client needs help and motivation to participate in everyday activities.

The position involves work during the day, evening, weekends, and nights (awake night shifts) will also occur. The work is performed when regular assistants are on leave, and requests for shifts can come with both short and long notice.

We are looking for qualities in you that enable you to motivate the client to lead an active and enriching life. You should have a drive and be creative in finding new experiences for the client to participate in. Experience with autism and intellectual disabilities is an advantage.

The position will be filled immediately and will begin with an introduction alongside an experienced assistant.
