Support Educator for Short-Term Supervision and Respite Care
We are looking for someone to work as a support educator in our units for short-term supervision and respite care.
Do you want to support our users to a meaningful and active life? Then you might be one of our new employees!
Do you want to be one of us and make a difference every day? We are looking for support educators for our units within short-term supervision/respite care for children and young people under LSS. With us, you will have the opportunity to work pedagogically with planning and follow-up, where you, together with our support assistants and educational coordinators, support our users.
In the units, the users have a great need for support, and challenging situations may occur. We consider it an advantage if you have experience working with challenging behavior of both physical and verbal nature. We work in a dynamic environment, so we are looking for someone who is confident in their professional role and is used to working independently.
About Us
In our units for short-term supervision and respite care, we work to support our users in their daily lives with care, leisure, and cultural activities. The unit caters to children, adolescents, and young adults with autism and other disabilities aged 13 and up.
The operation is open 24/7, which means you will work irregular hours and every other weekend, and night shifts may occur. In a full-time position as a support educator, support assistant, and support aide, you will work 36.33 hours per week.
Short-term supervision is for individuals with disabilities who no longer have the right to after-school care but still need it. Supervision is offered before and after school, as well as during breaks and study days, and is aimed at individuals from 13 years until they graduate from high school. Short-term supervision offers relaxing and active leisure activities that provide both physical and mental stimulation, allowing users to socialize with other youth under adult supervision.
Respite care means that individuals with disabilities have the opportunity for a change of environment while their relatives receive relief. We cater to both children and adults, and our users are offered stays both during the week and on weekends. The stay provides the user with an opportunity for a change of environment, stimulation, and community with others, and can also be good training for those who want to move out of their parents' home.
The schedule is day/evening/weekend with a full-time measure of 36.33 hours/week. Night shifts may occur.
