Welcome to develop with us! Höglundaskolan is a F-6 school with approximately 500 happy and eager-to-learn students and about 60 dedicated and competent staff members.

Our students and/or their guardians come from all parts of the world. Therefore, it is important that you are culturally aware and interested in actively working on the students' language development.

In the upcoming school year, great emphasis will be placed on developing language and knowledge-enhancing working methods in all subjects throughout the school. This will be done in collaboration with the Swedish National Agency for Education and other schools in the municipality.

Job Responsibilities

Your task is to take on the role of one of our teachers in the lower grades. This means that you plan, implement, and follow up on the teaching. You are also a mentor for the class you teach and thus have overall responsibility for the students' development, monitoring of their knowledge development, parent-teacher conferences, documentation, and contact with guardians. As a teacher, you will teach all theoretical subjects. Teaching in art and music may also be included. You are expected to have knowledge and experience in teaching children to read, write, and calculate. You will work in a team where collaboration and collegial learning are expected, which also provides support and further development in the teaching role.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is an educated and licensed teacher for the lower grades, where training in Swedish as a second language is necessary. You are a clear and confident leader who joyfully and creatively ensures the students' learning. It is a merit if you have a broad subject competence and experience. You view relationship-building as an obvious success factor for each student's optimal development based on their circumstances. It is also a merit if you are trained in "PAX in school".

You are a team player who takes responsibility for your tasks and your engagement at the school and contributes to a permissive environment where one dares to fail and ask for help. You are not afraid to try new paths in your role.
