The Youth Team

Laholm Municipality has chosen to invest in early preventive work, and within social services, there is a Youth Team with four full-time positions that work outreach towards youth throughout the municipality.

The primary target group of the Youth Team is young people aged 10 - 18, but other ages may also be included in various assignments. The Youth Team works both outreach, preventive, and health-promoting. For example, the Youth Team is active in grade 5 in all municipal primary schools where we collaborate with schools and student health regarding substance abuse and mental health issues. The Youth Team is part of Social Services’ open care for families with children aged 0 - 21 years. To meet the needs of young people, the work includes evenings, weekends, and holidays.

The Youth Team represents Social Services outwardly and is recognized by our red jackets, which is why we are keen to be good role models. We work closely together in the team and plan our schedule based on needs and requests, ensuring that everyone can turn to us, including young people, professionals, guardians, and other adults. We always act if we perceive concern for a child or youth.

About the Position

Outreach work where young people are located, such as the municipality's schools and youth centers, activities with youth, various events, and places where it is known that young people gather. We are also present on social media. This includes close cooperation with schools, youth leaders, police, and others working with the target group, such as associations and volunteer organizations. We conduct group activities, such as boys' and girls' groups and class activities in classes that have special needs based on the social situation. The Youth Team is also group leaders for MBU (The Person Behind the Uniform) and works with rePULSE individually and in whole classes. You may also have your own clients through open care.

Are You the One We Are Looking For?

A university degree with a social or educational focus or another equivalent focus is a requirement for the position.

Requirements for the position include current experience and good knowledge of authority exercise.

A valid driver's license (B) is required.

Desirable Qualifications:

• MI training
• rePULSE training
• Group leader training

We place great emphasis on collaboration skills, working in a team, and with other professionals. You should be proactive, a good role model, have the ability for good interaction, and be able to adapt to those you meet, as well as feel comfortable in both individual conversations and various group contexts. Flexibility with your working hours is required.

Parental leave substitute, the substitute ends on 2026-12-31, with the possibility of extension.

Full-time employment is required, including evening and weekend work.
