Substitute Teacher

We are looking for substitute teachers for Internationella Engelska Skolan in Nacka to teach grades 4-9. We are seeking substitutes who can work as needed and teach all subjects. This is a great opportunity for those who want to try the teaching profession, are teacher students looking for extra work, and enjoy working with children and youth in an international environment.

About you:
Preferably experience in teaching
Calm and able to follow instructions easily
Good knowledge of English
Willing to work in a calm environment: "Where teachers can teach and students can learn"
Can understand and work according to IES ethos.
You have a positive view of people, are a team player, and have the ability to build good relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians.

About the job:
You will step in and cover lessons according to the existing lesson plans. Usually, you will be contacted in the morning to substitute in classes the same day or possibly for upcoming days. At IES Nacka, we strive for clear frameworks in the classroom, clear leadership in lessons, and direct communication between staff and students. The focus is on learning, the study environment, and the school's expectations that are followed by both students and teachers. Teaching and the working language among colleagues is in both Swedish and English.

Internationella Engelska Skolan Nacka (IESN) is a free school with 940 students. The school opened in August 2010 and is located in Nacka Strand with good communications to Slussen and central Stockholm.
