We work together with a full focus on learning for our 540 students. Together, we also create the best conditions in a safe learning environment. The school is a K-6 school with two to three parallel classes and is located in the picturesque Ursvik.

About the position

We are now expanding our special education team as the number of students at the school has increased. As a special educator with us, you will be a complementary part of the special education team, which consists of special educators, special teachers, and SVA teachers. You will play an important role in the pedagogical development work related to our students' learning.

Job responsibilities

As a special educator at Ursvikskolan, you will support the development of working methods and learning environments so that the school can meet all students' needs.

Together with teachers and educators, you will conduct pedagogical assessments and based on results and analysis, develop extra adaptations and establish action plans. You will also teach students who need special educational instruction and guide educators so they can provide support within the classroom. The focus on adaptations and special support in teaching will be an important part of the guidance work.

In addition to the local expertise available at the school, we have access to special educators with a focus on NPF, reading and writing learning, as well as speech and language through Sundbyberg City's central student health services.

The city organizes special educational conferences once a month where there are opportunities for networking and discussions.

Qualifications

We want you to be a certified primary school teacher and have further education in special education. You have experience in mentoring. Good experience working in schools is an advantage.
