ABOUT THE POSITION
As an HR specialist focusing on labor law, your main task is to provide qualified support to ensure compliance and minimize legal risks within our consulting operations. You serve as a central expert resource and a supportive business partner with a full focus on labor law issues concerning our consultants. The role also includes representing Academic Work in more complex cases and negotiations. In addition to daily support, you are responsible for driving important compliance projects and managing recurring key processes, such as annual salary reviews and salary mapping.
The HR specialist role is a central part of the Business Support team at the headquarters, which aims to enable the business to create maximum value for both clients and consultants. This, in turn, contributes to the company's long-term growth and development.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities
Your main areas of responsibility include:
- Advisory: Act as a second-line expert in labor law issues concerning our consultants. Our Team Managers serve as the first contact for their teams, and you provide qualified support in more complex and challenging situations. This includes providing daily, business-oriented advice and support to managers, as well as representing the company in union negotiations, disputes, and formal labor law processes.
- Strategic and operational compliance: Drive and lead recurring compliance initiatives, such as issues related to collective agreements, work environment, and annual compensation processes (e.g., salary reviews and salary mapping). You also participate in/lead development projects to ensure legal consistency in our systems and processes.
- Competence development: Strengthen the labor law competence among our Team Managers by designing and conducting targeted training and internal introductions.
- Digitalization and efficiency: Promote the use of digital tools and automation to increase efficiency and ensure compliance with labor law throughout the organization.
WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO
To succeed in this role, you need to enjoy working hands-on, be highly structured and business-oriented, and have solid experience in complex case management and negotiations in labor law.
- Labor law expertise and experience: You have several years of documented experience working with complex HR and employment-related issues. You possess good practical knowledge of Swedish labor law and have experience working with collective agreements. You have also demonstrated the ability to independently manage complex and challenging labor law cases.
- Negotiation and case management: Documented experience representing an employer in labor law dialogues and cases, including union negotiations and dispute resolution.
- Language skills: Excellent knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, is required to professionally represent the company in negotiations and sensitive dialogues. You also need to have very good knowledge of English, especially in writing, for communication and collaboration.
- Work methodology: You work process-oriented and data-driven, using analysis and documentation to ensure effective compliance work.
Desirable
- Industry experience: Experience from the staffing and recruitment industry, especially if you have worked closely with operational managers or handled labor law issues concerning consultants and clients. This provides valuable understanding of our business model, pace, and the challenges that come with consulting operations.
Personal qualities
You have a strong sense of responsibility, which is crucial for this role. You take ownership of your work, ensure accuracy and compliance, and work systematically with recurring processes and complex cases. You have the professional confidence to stand firm in negotiations and provide clear guidance to managers, while being supportive and coaching in your approach to building trusting relationships. Above all, you handle sensitive, complex, and high-priority cases with clarity, calmness, and professionalism.

Scope: Full-time, permanent
Location: The position is based at our office in Stockholm, as many of the key operational stakeholders and support functions are located here, facilitating daily collaboration.
