About the Role

As a System Engineer, we work to ensure that Vattenfall's electricity grid is stable and delivers the energy that our customers need. Safe network operations are a key element in helping our customers lead a climate-smart life.

You will belong to the Applications Design group with a workplace at the office in Trollhättan, where several of you work to maintain and update changes to the electricity grid scheme in our operational monitoring system. With a focus on safety and accuracy, you will also work with operational monitoring, operational optimization, operational planning, commissioning, and troubleshooting of the electricity grid.

Your main responsibilities include:

• maintaining and updating data in our operational monitoring system
• managing communication with customers, contractors, and other stakeholders regarding general operational issues such as disturbances, planned outages, etc.
• participating in the design of the electricity grid and, if necessary, supporting other parts of the organization as well as developing working methods, processes, methods, tools
• participating in staffing our operations control center

In addition to working in your own group, you will also contribute your expertise to one of the other groups within operations.

Requirements

We know that you will develop with us, but we wish that you already have:

• a university degree in electrical power or several years of work experience in similar work within electrical power and high voltage (electrical engineering work)
• very good ability to express yourself in spoken and written Swedish.

Good knowledge of English in spoken and written form is an advantage.

As a person, you are calm and decisive even in stressful situations. To succeed in the role, you also need to be meticulous and quality-conscious so that the changes documented are correct in order to ensure the safety of those performing the work in the field. You have good collaboration skills and are motivated by achieving results together with others, as well as having a strong commitment to customers and technology.
