Lift Engineer

The City Property Management creates environments where life can thrive by planning, building, renting, managing, and developing premises and outdoor environments for the City of Gothenburg's operations. Every day, hundreds of thousands of Gothenburgers are active in preschools, schools, care homes, and other premises that we manage.

Together with the City Environment Administration, the Exploitation Administration, and the City Planning Administration, we have a coordinated responsibility for urban development in the City of Gothenburg. This entails a shared distribution of responsibilities and roles based on phases: planning, implementation, and management, with the goal of contributing to a cohesive, efficient, and transparent urban development for residents, visitors, and businesses in the city.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We at the Operations and Maintenance department are responsible for supervision, repair, and operation of the areas of land, buildings, and installations over time with good technical status and satisfied customers. This is achieved through close collaboration with customers, the administration's other departments, and other organizations in the city. The department is responsible for carrying out inspections required by authorities and contributes to the development of energy-saving measures. We carry out assignments requested by our tenants.

This position is located in the Alarm, Electrical Engineering, and Elevator unit. The unit's mission is primarily to work with supervision & maintenance as well as repairs at our operations. It is our task to ensure that everyone feels safe in the properties we manage. We ensure that regulations, laws, and requirements from, among others, the fire service, insurance companies, and the City of Gothenburg are followed.

For us, it is about maintaining, developing, and repairing important parts so that the operations function in the premises we manage. There are routines that we adhere to, and based on these frameworks, you plan your own time, which makes the work very varied and free.

Your tasks:

As a Lift Engineer, you will be the one who plans, orders, and follows up on contracts, service visits, and inspections within the areas of elevators, doors, folding walls, lifting devices, etc. in our unit. This position also includes simpler design/project management during renovations/upgrades of elevators and doors.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has a technical high school education with further training in the field, preferably at the university level or equivalent experience that the employer assesses as equivalent. You should have several years of work experience and experience with various installations in buildings. You need to have good computer skills and be proficient in the Office suite.

We consider it an advantage if you have:

• Certification/authorization in the field
• Experience with budget/economic work
• Design/project management
• Electrical knowledge
