ABOUT THE POSITION

As an IT security consultant at Simovits Consulting, you will gain insight into an exciting and rapidly growing sector within information technology. You and your colleagues are important pillars for your clients, and based on the client's description of their needs, you will work on developing proposals for concrete measures that you deliver to the client. Most assignments are carried out together with other colleagues from Simovits Consulting. During your initial period, you will have an onboarding phase so that you are gradually introduced to the work through a well-developed plan, and you will have a mentor.

RESPONSIBILITIES

In the role of IT security consultant at Simovits Consulting, you have several areas where you can further profile yourself:

• Security Monitoring: You will help build monitoring solutions through log collection, alarm setup, and conduct log analysis to detect cybersecurity incidents.
• IT Forensics & Incident Investigation: You will conduct investigations related to cybersecurity incidents.
• Security Audits: You will perform various types of analyses to evaluate the security of systems.
• Penetration Testing: You will conduct practical tests of, for example, network infrastructure or web applications.
• Red Team and Purple Team Exercises: You and your colleagues will act as attackers and/or defenders during a cybersecurity attack.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO

• Is an educated engineer and/or PhD with good grades and a completed thesis.
• Has taken courses in technology, such as networking, programming, cybersecurity.
• Has 0-5 years of work experience.
• Has Swedish citizenship.
• Is attracted to cybersecurity.
• Has excellent verbal and written skills in both Swedish and English.

It is meritorious if you have:

• Written your thesis independently.
• Previous experience in programming, networking, and operating systems.
• Education in logging and monitoring.
• Education in penetration testing.

To succeed in the role, you have the following personal qualities: You are analytical and skilled at presenting your findings both in writing and verbally. You are structured, socially inclined, and enjoy collaborating with others. Furthermore, you need to take responsibility for your work and be meticulous, transparent, and creative.
