We are looking for a UX designer for an authority within traffic.

This is a consulting assignment. The location is Stockholm.

The position is full-time.

The assignment involves close collaboration with the client, which places high demands on flexibility and teamwork.

The Assignment

The role involves leading and driving the design process for an ordering and contract web portal that is a central part of a new traffic management system. As a UX designer, you are responsible for the user experience and ensure that the solution meets identified user needs through a user-centered approach. You work closely with both external and internal target groups, identify needs and context, develop concepts, UX flows, and validated designs, and prioritize functionality based on the organization's and users' requirements. The role requires you to be methodical, self-driven, and confident throughout the design process in a complex and cross-functional environment.

Responsibilities

Be responsible for the user experience in the ordering and contract web portal.

Identify the needs and context of target groups and develop tailored solutions.

Lead and drive the design process from user insight to concept, UX flows, and validated design.

Prioritize functionality based on user and organizational needs and assess what is critical at launch.

Conduct user research and usability testing and compile and present results.

Create solution sketches and prototypes in Figma at both conceptual and detailed levels.

Describe user needs in a way that is practically useful for other designers and developers.

Design systems for professional users with a focus on efficient workflows and interfaces that support work processes.

Requirements (Mandatory)

Fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written.

At least six (6) years of documented full-time work experience in UX design in the last 10 years. At least three (3) years of documented full-time work experience in UI design within the last 6 years. Documented work experience of working method-driven with user-centered design in all parts of the design process, supported by at least two (2) assignments/projects where different methods have been used, with at least one (1) year duration, from the last ten (10) years. The experience should include the application of established UX/UI methods such as user journeys, interviews, prototyping, usability testing, or similar. Documented work experience of independently planning and executing a complete design process, including selecting relevant methods, adapting activities according to conditions, and involving relevant roles and stakeholders at the right times. This should be supported by at least two (2) assignments/projects from the last ten (10) years, where the entire design process has been carried out within the framework of one and the same assignment/project. Documented work experience of producing, shaping, and communicating user insights, from at least three (3) assignments/projects. Documented work experience of prioritizing functionality in a solution, using design methodology and user-centered approach, from at least three (3) assignments/projects. Documented work experience of shaping several different solutions in parallel at a conceptual level based on customer insights, and evaluating these from a business and user perspective, from at least three (3) assignments/projects. At least two (2) years of work experience in design work within an agile cross-functional development team. At least two (2) years of work experience where the consultant has experience in producing design sketches and interactive prototypes in the graphic design tool Figma, which have been evaluated together with end users.

Desirable

Documented experience of transforming user needs into structured functional and non-functional requirements in at least one (1) assignment.  Documented work experience of having been responsible for and executed design work for work tools.  Documented experience of conducting assignments for the public sector in at least one (1) assignment with at least one (1) year duration. 

Personal Characteristics Methodical in design and customer-centered approach. Experienced in producing sketches and prototypes to evaluate with customers and the organization, as well as delivering as material for developers. Humble team player seeking collaboration and cooperation, good at giving and receiving feedback. Familiar with working with agile methodologies and collaborating cross-functionally with other roles in a development team. Focused on delivering customer and business value rather than features. Interested in building and strengthening customer-centered design capability in groups/teams.
