Do you want to be part of developing the core of our business – credit granting – and contribute to driving NOBA's continued success journey? We are now looking for an Underwriting Analyst who wants to combine analytical sharpness with business understanding in a role that is both strategic and operational.
About the role:
As an Underwriting Analyst at Nordax Bank, part of NOBA Bank Group, you will be a key player in our underwriting team – a team responsible for ensuring sound credit decisions and long-term risk balance in our product portfolios. Here, you will work closely with senior colleagues and play a central role in developing our credit strategies, processes, and models to strengthen the bank's risk management and profitability over time.
You will be part of a dedicated team in Stockholm and report to the Head of Credit Underwriting and Decision Analytics. Together, you will create the conditions for sustainable and data-driven credit granting that makes a real difference.

Main responsibilities: Your responsibility will be to drive a proactive agenda to continuously improve the underwriting of credits in the bank's product portfolio, focusing on mortgages and personal loans with the ultimate goal of reducing risk in the portfolio over time. You will constantly collaborate closely with your team colleagues who are responsible for respective country/production combinations to analyze, prioritize, and drive implementation projects and follow-ups related to improvements in the credit granting process. The position suits you if you have strong self-leadership and previous experience of independently driving work to identify areas for improvement and implementation from start to finish. Furthermore, we believe that you want to work in a company with strong growth and a focus on development! We are looking for someone who:
- Has at least 2 years of relevant experience as an analyst in the credit, banking, or consulting industry.
- Has very good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Has good knowledge of SAS, SQL, Python, R, or similar languages.
- Has experience in credit granting to individuals and an understanding of related processes.
- Has strong technical understanding and the ability to drive development projects from idea to implementation.
- Has excellent ability to express yourself in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing.
- Has an academic degree in economics, engineering, statistics, or equivalent.
It is an advantage if you also have experience of the Nordic credit market and an understanding of the regulatory landscape.
