We are now looking for a computational engineer who wants to work with cutting-edge technology at our client's office in Karlskoga. Our partner is a leading product company in the defense industry, active in many technical areas for people's safety in society.

As a computational engineer, you would work with advanced simulation and design within future defense systems. You will be part of a smaller team where the work includes both new development and further development of existing products throughout their lifecycle. The work touches on several technical areas.

In this role, you will work with numerical modeling and simulation of dynamic processes. This means analyzing how different materials and structures are affected under complex loads. You will also contribute with sizing, protective calculations, and technical analyses used to develop safe and reliable products.

The position involves close collaboration with both internal and external contacts, making good teamwork and communication important parts of the role. Travel, both within Sweden and internationally, may occur.

We are looking for someone who has:

• A Master's or Bachelor's degree in engineering with a focus on physics, materials science, mechanical engineering, or similar
• Several years of experience in simulation and numerical methods, such as FEM, SPH, or CFD
• Basic programming skills, preferably in Python

Knowledge of materials science and material characterization is an advantage. As a person, you are analytical, meticulous, and responsible. You thrive in a team where you can combine your own initiative with collaborative development work.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to applicable security protection regulations. This position requires Swedish citizenship.
