Workplace

Nordmaling Municipality is looking for substitutes during the summer vacation who want to work nights in elderly care. We would like you to be able to start working extra if needed already this winter/spring.

The services that may be relevant are:

• The municipality's elderly home Strandbacken in central Nordmaling
• The night patrol (Home Care)

Job Responsibilities

The work as a nursing assistant/care assistant involves providing good care and support to our elderly and assisting them in their daily lives. You help our elderly with various daily/nightly tasks, personal hygiene, and administer medication to those in need. Delegated tasks from the municipality's HSL unit are included, as well as ongoing documentation (such as measures, health status, and social status) in our current operational system.

During night work, it may occur that you work alone, fully or partially, at some workplaces.

About You

We prefer that you have a nursing assistant education. You are over 18 years old and have previous experience working in care and support.

You should be interested in working with people and be reliable, stable, responsible, and have good empathetic skills. Independence and initiative-taking are seen as important qualities as the work may involve working alone. You have a good ability to collaborate and communicate with your colleagues, both night and day staff, as well as with residents/users. Personal suitability is highly valued.

To communicate with users, relatives, and colleagues, write and participate in care documentation, and receive medication delegation, it is required that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.

A Class B driver's license is a requirement to work within the home care night patrol.

Employment

Temporary position. Hourly wage. Employment levels vary. Start date by agreement.

This year's summer periods last for eight weeks, from June 16 to August 10 (vacation periods between June 16 – July 13 and July 14 – August 10). We prioritize those who want to work both periods.

The work involves scheduled night shifts.

Summer Bonus

Summer substitutes who have signed up to work with us in the summer of 2025 during one or two vacation periods are offered a summer bonus. If you work at least 70% during the vacation periods, a summer bonus of 4000 SEK per vacation period is offered.

For those who are retired, we offer an extra 25% in salary for the time you go out and work. This applies to both single shifts and scheduled work.
