Nurse for Dorotea Emergency Care Department

The region's primary care provides broad primary care services throughout Region Västerbotten and meets patients of all ages, both in urban and rural areas. With 33 health centers and medical stations, we are where you are. We actively work with research and development and utilize medical results to offer high-quality care where the patient is involved. At Dorotea Medical Station, rural healthcare is provided with a medical clinic, paramedical services, and district nurse clinic. The medical station has an emergency care department consisting of 4 emergency care beds and 4 municipal short-term care beds with 24/7 operations where we receive emergency patients on weekends, nights, and evenings, and this is where you will work. Approximately 35 employees work at Dorotea Medical Station.

We are now looking for a nurse for a temporary position of about 7 months at Dorotea Medical Station's emergency care department, with good chances of extension.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a nurse with us, you contribute knowledge and commitment that makes people feel safe.

You work professionally, always keeping the patient in focus. As a nurse, you will assess patients' medical and specific care needs and then plan and prioritize the actions to be taken.

The role of a nurse also requires your ability to lead and motivate other care staff to create a good working environment together and provide quality care. You work independently in close collaboration primarily with nursing assistants but also with other professional categories and are expected to receive emergency patients in the evenings and on weekends.

The work requires independence and the ability to solve problems and make ongoing decisions in the right order.

The work is scheduled for daytime and evening shifts on both weekdays and weekends.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a licensed nurse with the ability to see the whole picture and a desire to work in a workplace where the patient always comes first. Experience in emergency care is an advantage but not a requirement.

You are a compassionate and positive person who can work and prioritize in acute and stressful situations. You collaborate well with different people in various professional categories. You are proactive, ambitious, and see opportunities.
