We are now looking for support staff to join our team at Nytida Uppsala Säbo. We offer training and a developing job where you can make a difference! The position is a temporary contract at 83.95 percent while the employee is on parental leave. About Nytida Uppsala Säbo Nytida Uppsala Säbo is a residence for individuals aged 18-45 with mental disabilities. We have 10 living spaces. Nytida Uppsala Säbo is centrally located in Salabacke in Uppsala, 500 meters from Gränby shopping center with shops and restaurants, and close to the beautiful Källparken. We apply a rehabilitative and habilitative approach. The goal is for clients to maintain and develop their ADL skills. We offer our clients a good everyday life with nutritious food, routines, and activities.

About the role In the role of support staff, you will start from the individual needs and wishes of the residents and provide support in daily life based on a pedagogical approach. Together with other staff members, you will work towards making the day meaningful and enriching. You will support and guide with personal care, meals, medication management, cleaning, community contacts, and communication. An important part of the job is to stimulate and motivate the resident to develop their abilities and create opportunities for an active and meaningful leisure time. Your tasks also include documenting and planning based on implementation plans. Working hours are scheduled during the day, evenings, weekends, and sleeping on-call shifts.

You will have a Group Manager close to you who works part of their time in the operation. This could also be a future career opportunity for you.  

Your experience and knowledge You who are applying have a high school education in health and care or another equivalent education. You have good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing, good computer skills, and experience in documentation. It is an advantage if you have experience working with the target group. Otherwise, your CV is not the most important. If you have the right qualities, we will provide you with support and opportunities to grow.
