Job Description

Randstad is now seeking a Mechanical/Process Engineer for an exciting consulting assignment at Siemens Energy in Finspång. In this role, you will work within Customer Order Engineering focusing on gas turbines, where you will have the opportunity to contribute to innovative solutions in the energy sector. Your main responsibilities include project-specific system design, creating and reviewing technical specifications, and ensuring that the solutions meet both technical and commercial requirements. You will also maintain close communication with suppliers and procurement departments, perform design reviews, and support project management as well as workshop and field installations.

The technical areas you will work with include acoustic packages and gearboxes for gas turbines, combustion air intake, gas turbine enclosures, ventilation systems, combustion exhaust systems, and electrical control modules. The role also requires technical support during installation and commissioning on-site, as well as the ability to work closely with customers to meet their needs. To fit this role, we are looking for someone with a bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering, process design, or a related field. Experience with CAD and process design in tools like Comos is advantageous but not required. It is also beneficial if you have a basic understanding of KKS and/or ISA standards and experience in project management or project engineering work. Fluent English is a requirement for the role, while Swedish is also preferred. We are looking for someone who is solution-oriented, structured, and has a good technical understanding, as well as enjoys collaborating in teams and managing complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop project-specific systems and create and review technical specifications and solutions.
• Maintain close technical and commercial dialogue with suppliers and procurement teams.
• Perform design reviews and ensure that technical solutions meet customer requirements and project goals.
• Support project management and provide technical support to customers.
• Provide support for workshop installations and installation and commissioning on-site.
• Contribute to ensuring quality and timelines in projects.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering, process design, or a similar field.
• Experience in design work in CAD is advantageous.
• Knowledge of detailed process design/engineering in tools such as Comos is beneficial but not required.
• Basic understanding of KKS and/or ISA standards for process design.
• Experience in project engineering work and/or project management is advantageous but not required.
