Job Description

As a security guard, your primary task is to deliver safety to our customers. You do this, for example, in a monitoring center or at an access control point. As a security guard, you have greater authority than a regular guard and often work closely with our customers' staff on objects that are crucial to Sweden's security.

The work is independent and is often perceived as free, but with great responsibility.

The tasks are highly varied, and as a security guard, you can work both indoors and outdoors, at night or during the day. The length of shifts varies, but they are often scheduled in 12-hour shifts. Since we operate every day of the year, it is common to work every other weekend.

You will, for example:

• Staff the monitoring and management center
• Ensure that no unauthorized persons have access to the objects
• Conduct internal and external inspections
• Be responsible for searching vehicles

• You need to be a trained security guard with valid approval or be a trained guard at least VU2
• Approved grades in Swedish and English from the first year of high school
• Class B driver's license

Preferred if you

• have worked with similar tasks before
• have a civilian or military security guard training

• We are looking for staff for night shifts (5/4), common working hours are 18:00-06:00, but also staff for daytime Mon-Fri office hours and resource services during the day.

For employment within Securitas Sweden AB, it is required that you have approved grades from high school in Swedish and English and are approved by the County Administrative Board for employment in an authorized security company according to the Act (1974:191) on security companies (the application is made by Securitas). Depending on the position, a security clearance according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may also be relevant. To investigate and assess whether you meet the requirements to be approved according to each regulation, a background check will be conducted. The assessment concerns legal compliance, suitability, reliability, loyalty, and any vulnerabilities. Information obtained may, for example, come from you, open sources, or authorities. We apply a holistic assessment when evaluating suitability for each position.

Salary and employment conditions are based on collective agreements between the employer organization Security Companies and the Swedish Transport Workers' Union.
