In this advertisement, we offer placement at one of the remand centers Huddinge, Kronoberg, and Sollentuna or at one of the prisons Hall, Beateberg, Asptuna, Färingsö & Svartsjö and Rosersberg. JOB DESCRIPTION

As a correctional officer, you will be part of a team where you have daily contact with clients. The tasks at the prison are varied: care, surveillance, searching, and security work are mixed with release planning and conversation/motivation work. The work at the remand center is often routine-oriented and focused on care and security tasks. Clients may be detained for long periods without meeting anyone other than their lawyer and the staff at the remand center, which places special demands on you as a correctional officer.

QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications

Your personal qualities are important to us. As a correctional officer, you need to be secure, stable, and have good self-awareness. Since you will be working with your colleagues to run the operations, you need to have good teamwork skills and the ability to communicate clearly. Good judgment and integrity are required in your professional practice. You must have a physical condition that allows you to act physically when the situation requires.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Completed upper secondary education or other education combined with work experience.
• Work experience. Internships and volunteer work are not equivalent to employment.
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing.
• Good computer skills.

It is an advantage if you have:

• Knowledge in relevant fields, such as behavioral science, criminology, psychiatry, law, or conflict management.
• Work experience in correctional services, security work, social care, psychiatry, healthcare, or service work in retail, hotels, or restaurants.

We have high demands on our employees' security and confidentiality awareness. To work with us, you need to undergo a security screening in accordance with the Security Protection Act. A security screening interview will be conducted before a hiring decision is made. During the security screening, you will be investigated as a person, your background, and your relationships from a security perspective. Some positions are classified in a security class, and a security screening with a background check will be conducted before a hiring decision is made.
