Job Description
Are you interested in working as an administrator within a government agency? Right now, Statistics Sweden (SCB) in Örebro is looking for several experienced administrators.
Statistics Sweden (SCB) is responsible for official statistics and other governmental statistics. This includes developing, producing, and disseminating statistics. Additionally, it coordinates the system for official statistics in Sweden.
Working hours are Monday to Friday between 08:00 and 16:00, 30-40 hours per week.
Assignment period: March 10 to June 5, 2025

Responsibilities
As an administrator, you are expected to check incoming figures where discrepancies occur according to our review controls. Some review of data may be complex, such as assisting the data provider in calculating employer contributions, wage costs, or similar for a larger company.
To assist with these matters, you will contact the data provider and are also expected to help with other services such as guiding in collection tools/forms/files, obtaining new login credentials, or updating contact person details or otherwise supporting the data providers.
The role includes:
- independent work based on guidelines and practices
- developing proposals, such as decision support documents
- planning and following up on cases
- investigating, reviewing, and processing cases, as well as making decisions in simpler cases
- reporting investigation results and suggesting decisions
- analyzing and evaluating tasks and projects
- work of an investigative and/or coordinating nature
- conducting and following up on activities.
Qualifications
To be considered for the assignment, you need to have:
- University education or equivalent education in the relevant field and at least six
- At least 6 months of experience working as an administrator, payroll administrator, or accounting economist
- Experience in/knowledge of payroll administration
- Experience in/knowledge of accounting
- Some knowledge of business economics (equivalent to business economics A)
- Experience in customer contacts/service via phone
- Good knowledge of MS Office or equivalent
We also see that you have:
- Good ability to express yourself orally and in writing in Swedish and English
- Good ability to work towards a deadline
- Ability to work in a team and collaborate with others
- Interest in society and a sense of service are of great importance to meet data providers appropriately.
Experience in running your own business and knowledge of basic statistics is an advantage.
