Bartender at O’Learys Vänersborg

About the position: As a bartender at O’Learys Vänersborg, you will be primarily responsible for serving guests in our bars. You will create and serve drinks based on guests' wishes and provide them with a wonderful experience through friendly service and a hundred percent commitment. As a bartender, you will also assist in various aspects related to the restaurant, such as service, activities, dishwashing, etc., as needed. Together with the bar manager, you will be responsible for creating a pleasant and fun environment in the bars and driving and developing the bars forward to ensure they operate as optimally as possible!

Your responsibilities include:

• Receiving and quality-checking the goods delivered to the bar
• Preparing drinks ordered at the bar and following recipes
• Serving bar guests with appropriate drinks and providing friendly service
• Actively working on upselling to guests
• Using measuring glasses for the spirits poured
• Following routines, checklists, and manuals for the bar
• Keeping the bar area clean and tidy, including surfaces and equipment
• Ensuring that minors or overly intoxicated guests are not served according to alcohol laws
• Reporting over-serving to the responsible person or security
• Staying updated on new recipes and trends in the bar and implementing and adhering to these together with the bar manager
• Assisting in other areas of the business, such as dishwashing, service, and at the game reception/bowling computer

Desired experience and qualities:

• Experience in a service role, preferably from restaurant/bar and cash handling
• Relationship-building skills and enjoys working as part of a team
• Fluent in Swedish and good command of English, both spoken and written
• Flexible, service-minded, and attentive
