Do you want to cook food that feels as much in the heart as it tastes? Welcome to Club Room – the living room of Hjortviken Country Club.
Hjortviken Country Club opened in January 2025, just 20 minutes from Gothenburg, beautifully located by Västra Nedsjön. Here, pulse meets calm, community meets quality. We are now looking for a chef for Club Room who wants to help create memorable meals in a warm, rustic, and genuine environment.
Club Room – our living roomClub Room is a homage to Tore Wretman – the man who shaped modern Swedish home cooking and put the Swedish smorgasbord on the world map.
Here we cook classic Swedish food with pride, heart, and respect for the ingredients. On the menu, you will find dishes such as venison meatballs with cream sauce, potato purée, pressed cucumber, and lingonberry jam – food that brings people together around the table and turns conversations into good memories.
The atmosphere is rustic, masculine, and authentically warming. Club Room is the place where guests land, stay long, and happily return.
Your role in the kitchenAs a chef in Club Room, you are an important part of the experience. You work closely with your team to deliver food with quality, feeling, and consistency – every day.
You will, among other things:
Cook and prepare food with high quality and craftsmanship in focus
Contribute ideas and development of classic dishes
Ensure good ingredient handling and order in the kitchen
Follow and maintain hygiene and food safety
Adapt dishes to guests' needs and wishes
We believe that you:
Have at least 3 years of experience as a chef
Are passionate about classic culinary craftsmanship and good taste
Are meticulous, responsible, and thrive in a fast-paced kitchen
Are a team player who contributes to a good atmosphere
Are flexible with working hours (evenings and weekends included)
