The workplace, the Chief Prosecutor's office, is led by a Chief Prosecutor and is responsible for legal supervision and follow-up at the Economic Crime Authority. This also includes deciding on review cases and other individual supervision cases as well as conducting supervision projects. The overarching goal of legal supervision is for the prosecutorial activities to be characterized by high legal quality and thus ensure that the requirements for legality, consistency, and uniformity are maintained in the prosecutorial activities. The Chief Prosecutor's office is also responsible for matters concerning the process in the Supreme Court where the National Prosecutor represents the case. At the office, the Chief Prosecutor, Deputy Chief Prosecutor, office prosecutor, and an administrator work. Travel may occur in the position.

Job Responsibilities

A Deputy Chief Prosecutor is responsible for:

• Making decisions in review cases, conflict of interest issues, and other supervision/complaint cases
• Participating in the work of developing the annual supervision plan and other tasks handled by the Chief Prosecutor's office
• Being responsible for various supervision projects (thematic supervision)
• Participating in the work of developing prioritized precedent cases
• Deciding on opinions and submissions regarding appeals to the National Prosecutor concerning cases in the Supreme Court
• Handling whistleblower cases (authorized person according to the Act (2021:890) on protection for persons reporting misconduct and the regulation (2021:949) on protection for persons reporting misconduct)
• Representing the Economic Crime Authority in various collaboration forums

Requirements

We are looking for someone who has:

• Several years of current experience in operational prosecutorial work
• Solid knowledge of investigation and prosecution of economic crimes
• A very high legal competence

It is meritorious if you also have:

• Documented good leadership skills
• Experience of cross-organizational collaboration
• Experience and good ability to lead projects
• Experience from legal supervision work or development work

As a Deputy Chief Prosecutor, you will be placed at the Chief Prosecutor's office in Stockholm and will be employed by the Director General of the Economic Crime Authority after the opinion of the National Prosecutor.
