Ensure high-level product and process quality standards
Are you a QA/QC engineer interested in enhancing quality standards and ensuring customer satisfaction? Join NKT, an international cable manufacturing company, and contribute to a greener world. As part of our expanding Group Quality team, you will take part in securing, optimizing, and improving our process and product quality standards.
Elevate quality assurance and control practices
As a Group Quality Engineer, you will focus on Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) activities to ensure high-level product and process output. You will implement, monitor, and improve QA and QC initiatives and processes across the business value chain, collaborating closely with local organizations.
Your main tasks will be to:
- Design, implement, and optimize global quality assurance and quality control protocols, procedures, and in-process inspections to guarantee a high-quality output
- Work closely with local quality, production, and engineering teams to ensure smooth integration of quality control processes into manufacturing workflows
- Analyze quality data (e.g., defect rates, scrap rates, and rework percentages) to identify trends and areas for improvement
- Work alongside local teams during pilot runs and new product launches to establish robust quality control plans
- Promote a culture of quality awareness among local teams through trainings on quality standards, inspection methods, and defect prevention techniques
- Perform internal audits to assess the quality of manufacturing processes and/or outputs in relation to established internal and regulatory standards
You will join an international and collaborative team. We are open to flexible locations close to our offices in the Netherlands, Germany, or Sweden. We offer a fully remote or hybrid work model. Frequent international travel (60-70%) is expected.
Experienced QA/QC professional with a global mindset
We are looking for a QA/QC professional with multi-site experience who can navigate different cultures and stakeholder levels within our European sites. You should be a motivated collaborator with effective communication skills, high integrity, and professionalism. The ability to solve problems and define effective follow-up steps is crucial.
You also have:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or equivalent
- 5 Years+ of experience in QA/QC roles within Quality or Process Engineering in a manufacturing industry
- Experience with quality inspection techniques and equipment
- Experience with data analysis tools such as Minitab and statistical methods like SPC or equivalent
- Certifications in Six Sigma
- Experience in risk management tools such as Failure Mode & Effect Analyses (FMEA)
- Problem-solving skills with experience in Ishikawa, 5-Why, 8D or equivalent
- Fluency in English
